Who is providing this notice? BankMD is a division of TransPecos Banks, SSB. family of companies.
What we do
How does BankMD protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. We authorize our employees to get your information only when they need it to do their work, and we require companies that work for us to protect your information.
How does BankMD collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

n open an account or make deposits or withdrawals from your account

n pay your bills or apply for a loan

n use your credit or debit card

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates’, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

n sharing for affiliates’’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness

n affiliates’ from using your information to market to you

n sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

What happens when I limit sharing for an account, I hold jointly with someone else? Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Our affiliates include companies with a BankMD or TransPecos Banks, SSB name

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Nonaffiliates we share with can include companies such as retailers, auto dealers, auto makers and membership clubs

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Our joint marketing partners include categories of companies such as insurance companies

Other important information

State laws:

VT: Accounts with a Vermont mailing address are automatically treated as if they have limited the sharing as described on page 1. For joint marketing, we will only disclose your name, contact information and information about your transactions.

NV: We are providing you this notice pursuant to Nevada law. If you prefer not to receive marketing calls from us, you may be placed on our Internal Do Not Call List by calling 1-800-689-5318.
